Omaha Teeth Whitening

We all notice people who have a brilliant white smile - it’s simply more attractive. With teeth whitening from Omaha's Dr Roger Roubal, you can get the brighter smile you have always dreamed of.

Dr. Roubal:
" Every day, I see people who are self-conscious and shy about their smiles - until they found a solution through tooth whitening. There’s a number of options you can choose to whiten your smile".

1. In-Office Deep Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening can be whitened several shades.  There are a number of options including porcelain veneers, dental bonding, bleaching, laser, and Zoom whitening. Dr. Roubal will give you a brighter smile with a specialized treatment designed just for you.

A whitening procedure performed by Dr. Roubal usually produces teeth that are four to six shades whiter in just one or two visits.

The average whitening product can have the same result, but won't last as long.

2. At-Home Teeth Whitening

We make up custom whitening trays to help you bring out your teeth’s white color at home. At-home whitening trays are still effective and take about four to six weeks to achieve results.

3. Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are the most effective method of whitening. If you already have extensive dentistry on your front teeth, an option could be a combination of whitening and veneers to get the best result.

Kim:Kim
I was always conscious of the stains on my teeth.  I noticed people who had nice bright white smiles and wished I had one. Thanks to Dr. Roubal, my teeth are now the white they should have always been.”

Brad:
“ I tried over the counter whitening products, and they helped a little. It wasn’t until Dr. Roubal used Zoom whitening on my teeth, that there was any difference. I wish I had gone to see him earlier
.”

The materials used to whiten your teeth include:

1. Hydrogen peroxide gel
This is a gentle, oxygenating agent that penetrates tooth enamel, breaks up stain deposits lodged in your tooth structure and carries away the debris.

2. Carbamide peroxide gel
This is a milder oxygenating agent that essentially works the same way as hydrogen peroxide.

FAQ: Tooth Whitening

What is the difference between over the counter or in the office teeth whitening treatments?

Although in home treatments are less expensive, there are several disadvantages to over the counter home teeth whitening products. They also require more patience and commitment over a longer time, and precautions must be taken.

With In-Office Deep Whitening, the procedure is much quicker (just two visits) and the results are amazing. Timelines and effectiveness can vary.

Here’s what you can expect from the whitening solution you choose:

Home whitening (4 – 6 weeks) the results can be good when given enough time, but are not as dramatic as In-Office Deep Whitening

In-office Deep Whitening (2 visits) - excellent results

Is tooth whitening safe?
Whitening agents that have 10 percent or less carbamide peroxide have been shown to be safe to use and to not damage the tooth or tooth enamel. Dentists will use whiteners with a higher concentration of bleaching agents, but they will offset the adverse reactions to them with fluoride. Teeth and gums sometimes can become irritated and sensitive after a whitening procedure.

How should I choose a dentist to perform a tooth whitening procedure?
It’s important to choose a dentist who has significant experience and has performed a number of these procedures. Dr. Roubal has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years. He also has a number of professional affiliations including the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Roubal has helped people throughout Omaha, Lincoln, and Council Bluffs with cosmetic dentistry, tooth whitening, and neuromuscular dentistry. He is honored to be one of only 80 dentists nationwide to be a clinical instructor at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute teaching facility.

How much does tooth whitening cost?
The cost of tooth whitening varies depending on the type of procedure chosen. Dr. Roubal provides customized treatment and financing options for a tooth whitening process that you will be happy with.

Why should I get my teeth whitened?
Having your teeth whitened can provide you with more than just a brighter smile. People with whiter teeth are less self-conscious about their smile. Because of this they tend to smile more and give the appearance of a more youthful, energetic, and healthier person.

What are the disadvantages of tooth whitening?
Tooth whitening is successful with most patients, although bleaching may not work for everyone. However, there are other ways for people to have their teeth whitened using either veneers or bonding. There is a tooth whitening process for almost everyone. Some people are more sensitive to whitening materials than others. Whitening materials can cause gums and teeth to be more sensitive than normal for a few hours or up to a few days. This potential sensitivity problem typically can be prevented or corrected.
